Lubanzi High School invited TASK to talk to their Grade 10 learners about tuberculosis and the stigma around having the condition.
TASK is pleased to learn that lessons on TB are now included in their curriculum and yet the school realizes the value in hearing about TB from the people that work in the industry first hand.
TASK brought community workers who work with TB patients on a daily basis. These were: Andile, who is a nurse and runs People Against Stigma workshops; Maureen, who is an HIV/AIDS Activist and Esnath, who is a cancer and TB survivor. They all spoke about#Reallifestories but most importantly encouraged the learners to make great #Health #Career and #LifeChoices.
