Today saw a TASK team partner with an excellent Paarl Provincial Hospital team led by CEO François van der Watt, rolling out day two of the Sisonke vaccine trial at the Western Cape healthcare facility.

The Western Cape (WC) Health MEC Nomafrench Mbombo, and Executive Mayor of Drakenstein Municipality, Councillor Conrad Poole, inspected a hive of activity as qualifying public and private healthcare workers took part in the largest vaccine trial of its kind in South Africa.

After a brief explanation of proceedings by Mr van der Watt, the MEC took questions from the media, offered input and insight into the local and national government strategy for vaccine roll out and thanked all involved.

Pictured here are Sisonke TASK team members hard at work prepping vaccines and members of the media, government and hospital staff discussing various aspects of Sisonke with the TASK team.
